Alongside our cabinetry and joinery, Western Port Woodworks designs and makes bespoke furniture — one-off pieces in solid timber, built in our Hastings workshop to be used daily and kept for generations.

Every piece begins with the material. Rather than forcing timber into a generic form, we read the grain and character of each board and shape the design to showcase its finest features — with proportion given the attention it deserves, and construction chosen for how the timber will live and move over a lifetime.

Dining tables

The centrepiece of a home deserves to be made for it. We design and craft solid timber dining tables to suit your space, your seating and your interior — from refined contemporary forms to substantial family tables, including pieces made to complement existing stone and joinery.

Sideboards and console tables

Occasional furniture is where craftsmanship shows closest up: figured timber, considered proportions and drawers that glide as beautifully in twenty years as they do on delivery. We make sideboards, buffets and console tables as one-off commissions, designed around the timber and the room they'll live in.

Entertainment units

Freestanding media furniture designed for the way you actually use it — cable management, ventilation and storage resolved within a piece that holds its own as furniture, not just equipment housing.

Good furniture deserves a long life. We restore and repair quality timber furniture — from structural repairs and refinishing to sympathetic restoration of family pieces — with the same care we bring to making new ones.
